Right vs. Left
I recently discovered that my eyes are quite different from each other. The left eye sees everything tinted more blue, while the right eye sees everything more tinted in red. I'm still trying to figure out which sees better object outlines, but that poses a greater challenge. It seems one outlines objects better, while the other brings forward the central area of an object. I suppose that thinking both could be the same at any point was a little silly.

Cracked Glasses
One day I found myself looking through my glasses and seeing a strange white bit on the bottom. The lenses weren't focusing well in that area, either. So I took them off only to find that they had cracked. Of course, it had to have been a pair I hadn't owned for long.
After wearing about 5+ pairs of glasses in my lifetime, I'd wondered why only these had cracked. It was a question I hoped someone could answer. I went back to the place I had bought them and asked them why it had happened.
Glasses are made to withstand many things and cracking isn't very common, but I was told that it can happen if certain chemicals are nearby it. It will weaken the lenses, just as it did in my case. Although I am not sure what chemicals I was nearby to weaken the lenses, I do recall exposure to plastic wrap fumes and some household cleaners. The man also mentioned to stay away from Windex.

From the Hairdresser(s)
Since I was young I've paid a lot of attention to what my multiple hairdressers had to say about proper hair care. My hair is fine (not thick) and soft, but has a bad attitude when it comes to sticking up on top of my head, and split ends were a little more common. Over the years I've asked questions on how to better treat hair so as to not damage it. I was told:
Use an ion hairdryer. Supposedly it has something to do with giving your hair less frizz after a shower, so it will lay more flat.
Use a comb and not a brush. Combs cause less split ends and I noticed a change in that after I started doing this. It also caused less hair knots.
Wash your hair in warm water when shampooing, cold water when conditioning. The same goes for blow-drying; warm air when drying, then go over it again with cool air. Why? I was told that warm water or air opens up little pockets in the hair, causing the shampoo to clean deeper and the warm air to dry the hair better. Cool water when conditioning makes it so those pockets aren't open and the conditioner stays on top of the hair more, like it's supposed to. So when you finalize your blow-dry with a little bit of cold air, you're making sure to close those pockets when you're done.
If any hairdresser out there disagrees or can better explain any of these facts I've heard, please feel free to comment!

All I Know Now
"All I Know Now" was created because everyday I learn something new, whether it be from someone I know, somewhere I've been, something I've read, or something I've researched. I have an interest in researching and learning, and I felt that sometimes I wish I could share what I've learned with others. So that's what I'm here to do.
There's no way to gather all of the knowledge of the world, but I feel like there's so much to discover.
